Day 3x12-Hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Experience : 2 full recent years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience License : CA License Certifications : BLS, PALS Must-Have : Peds Cardiac ICU experience, Ventilators, trachs, multiple monitoring skills, specifically CVP and EKG Job Description : This is a critical care float pool position.
- First to float to other units outside of the critical care units, including ED.- Will care for all age ranges and levels of acuity.
- The traveler must be willing to get a flu shot when requested.- Shifts consist of 3x12 variable or straight night, with specific weekend requirements.
- Must work 2 out of the 3 major holidays.- Patient population includes high acuity cases such as injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi-system failure, poisonings, near drowning, meningitis, post-op cardiac surgical care, neurosurgery, trauma, hem-onc, and DKA if PH or altered consciousness.
- Candidates will be required to float within the hospital and for NICU may float to satellite locations.- Non-billable modules must be completed before the start, which can take the traveler 6-8 hours.
These are included in the non-billable orientation hours.- Orientation consists of 12 non-billable hours.
