Summary
The laboratory of Dr. Katherine Antel at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center is seeking a postdoctoral scholar with interests and experience translational cancer research, especially in the fields of hematology, and viral associated cancers.
Candidate should have foundational knowledge in molecular cell biology, cancer biology and B-cell biology. The ideal candidate shall be able to plan and execute experiments, analyze data, and trouble-shoot technical problems, and write scientific reports / grant proposals.
This candidate shall be willing to work with cell lines, human samples and mice tissues. Seeking someone who has demonstrated an ability to work independently and follow projects through to completion.

Job Description
Job Duties :
35% - Conduct daily experiments with human PBMCs, human cell lines, and additional human samples. Duties include processing samples, propagating cellular cultures in vitro, and extraction of biologic material for downstream analysis.
Expertise in cell culture is a requirement. Experience with CRISPR-Cas9, molecular cloning, and other molecular biology techniques is preferred.
35% - Evaluation of biologic readouts. Expertise in flow cytometry, RNA transcriptional profiling, ELISA, Western blotting, and collection and analysis of data is a requirement.
Experience with data analysis (RNAseq / ATACseq) and use of bioinformatic tools is optional but preferred.
15% - Assist in IRB submissions and grant applications. Develop independent research projects. Participate in manuscript preparation.
10% - Participate in lab management, including ordering and maintenance of equipment.
5% - Additional lab duties.
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :
PhD in Molecular Biology or related field
2-3 years of postdoctoral experience
