Echocardiogram Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x8's, Tuesday - Friday, 07 : 00 - 15 : 30 or 07 : 30 - 16 : 00, with one weekend shift required per month if needed.

Job Description

The Echocardiogram Technician is responsible for performing high-quality echocardiograms, carotid doppler studies, and transesophageal echocardiograms. The technician provides quality diagnostic and therapeutic care tailored to patients across all age groups from newborns to geriatrics, ensuring the highest standards of care are met.

Responsibilities

  • Perform echocardiograms, carotid doppler studies, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
  • Provide quality diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients of different age groups.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and professional standards in all procedures.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure a clean working environment.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the ultrasound field.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ARDMS certification required.
  • CCI RCS certification required.
  • Registered Ultrasound Technician preferred; licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in North Carolina preferred.
  • EPIC charting system experience preferred.
