JobPurpose :
The BellAttendant position is responsible for meeting greeting and assistin transporting guest to tourist areas providing information on thelocal area and ensuring delivery and retrieval of luggage to allguests in a courteous timely and professionalmanner.
Duties&Functions :
- Greetarriving guests and retrieve theirluggage
- Escort guests to their rooms explainthe room facilities and sell the hotels various outlets (restaurantbar spa)
- Deliver luggage messages faxespackages etc. for guests and to undertake various other requests inorder to ensure their comfort
- Transportdeparting guests luggage from the room to the lobby ensuring thatthe guest has verified that all luggage has been accountedfor
- Ensure that luggage has been stored safelyaccording to prescribed procedures
- Ensure thatthe luggage storage area is kept clean and tidy at alltimes
- Inform guests with savvy knowledge ofhotel its services the city and localhappenings
- Be fully aware of what functions aregoing on in the hotel
- Able to drive in a safeand efficient manner.
- Able to keep a record ofall the incidents while driving for example any accidents ortickets.
- Responsible to ensure the safety andsecurity of the guests while traveling.
- Providegracious attentive and friendly service
- Anyother reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor ormanager.
- We recognize we are in the hospitalityindustry and that may require us to provide lateral service. Wewill on occasion call for each individual in the team to on aroutine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spiritof providing exceptional guestservice.

- Communicateeffectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear directionto the venue teams.
- Communicate with employeesusing a positive and clear speaking voice listen to and understandrequests respond with appropriate actions and provide accurateinformation.
- Remain calm and alert especiallyduring emergency situations and / or heavy restaurant activityserving as a role model for team and other employees.
Interact withother department personnel and venue staff asneeded.
Make decisions and take actions basedon previous experience and good judgment sometimes revisingprocedures to accommodate unusualsituations.

SUPPORTIVEFUNCTIONS
Inaddition to performance of the essential functions this positionmay be required to perform a combination of the followingsupportive functions with the percentage of time performing eachfunction to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon theparticular requirements of thecompany.
- Attend mandatory meetingsincluding divisional meetings staff meetingsetc.
- Participate in community events and ensurecorporate social responsibility goals of sbe aremet.
- Utilize traditional software programs suchas Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint) Micros ADPOpen Table and any departmental specific systemsused.
- Keep work area clean andorganized.
- Ensure confidential documents arekept in a secured area.
- When disposingconfidential documents that contain any personally identifiableinformation they must be shredded orpulverized.
- Complete other duties as assignedby the Department Head.
- Demonstrate positiveleadership characteristics which inspire Team Members to meet andexceed standards.
- Ensure compliance with thecompanys policies andprocedures.
OTHERDUTIES
Assimilateinto companys culture through understanding supporting andparticipating in all the companys elements. Demonstrate workingknowledge of the service standards.
Regularattendance in conformance with the standards which may beestablished by the companys from time to time is essential to thesuccessful performance of this position.
Due tothe cyclical nature of the hospitality industry employees may berequired to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs ofthe property.
SAFETYREQUIREMENTS
PersonalProtective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing workduties that may have the potential of risk to your health orsafety.
The restaurant will provide the required PPE. Team memberswill be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE.
Itis your responsibility to report defective damaged or lost PPE orequipment that does not fit properly to yourManager.
Requires ability to lift large and heavypackages and boxes and to the ability to load and unload small andlarge boxes as needed.
Must have ability to safely lift minimum of50 lbs. without assistance and to push and pull up to 150 lbs. withappropriateequipment.
GROOMING / UNIFORMS
Allemployees must maintain a neat clean and wellgroomed appearance.Specific uniform guidelines and / or required articles of clothingwill be explained to you as a part of the orientationprocess.

Qualifications :
SPECIFICJOB KNOWLEDGE SKILL ANDABILITY
Theindividual must possess the following knowledge skills andabilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she canperform the essential functions of the job with or withoutreasonable accommodation.
- High SchoolDiploma or equivalent required
- One (1) to two(2) years in a public contact position preferably in an upscale orlifestyle brand hotel
- Possess a graciousfriendly and fun demeanor
- Ability to multitaskwork in a fastpaced environment and have a high level attention todetail
- Maintain positive and productive workingrelationships with other employees anddepartments
- Ability to work independently andto partner with others to promote an environment ofteamwork
- Must be able to stand or walk aminimum eighthour shift.
- Must be able observantand quick to respond to various situations while also multitaskingand handling stressful situations.
- Must be ableto twist tow (push or pull) reach bend climb and carry objects asnecessary.
- Must have excellent communicationskills and be able to read write speak and understandEnglish.
