What You'll Do

The Assistant Manager - Client Success (Hotel Senior Catering Sales Manager or Assistant Director Equivalent) is a key member of leadership for the sales team who is responsible for onboarding new employees with product and system trainings as well as the assisted management of the sales team.

Our goal is to ensure our clients are getting answers quickly and that our team is empowered to make educated decisions as their knowledge deepens.

This position is located in Boston Ma .

The Assistant Manager-Client Success holds a working role responsible for guiding the team on account management decisions including sales activities from initiation through close, assisting with order accuracy in our computer system, troubleshooting inventory questions, and overrides.

This role relies on making data-based decisions at a rapid pace. This position works collaboratively with our Clients and Sales Consultants and is a partner to various departments to achieve customer satisfaction.

The Assistant Manager is responsible for strengthening customer relationships, analyzing account growth accounts, coaching the team to make strategic decisions, generating revenue, and achieving long-term goals that are in line with company vision and values.

This person has a proven track record of personal sales ranging between $2.5M- 3M+ or managing a team based multi-million dollar revenue budget.

Clear communication skills, the willingness to become a team player and help when needed is the kind of attitude that is required to be successful in this position.

Our management style is a team approach to problem solving. This position reports to the Director of Sales.

The Day-to-Day

  • Oversee staff scheduling to ensure business needs are met (Paylocity)
  • Assist with bringing SOPs to completion, reviewing, and maintaining them
  • Become a power user of Point of Rental, Salesforce, Vonage and Power BI
  • Offer guidance and solutions to sales team to make sound decisions for our clients
  • Mentor and coach junior team members to become future event industry leaders
  • Observe and coach sales to maximize efficiencies to their workflow
  • Partner with the Sales team on Client account reviews
  • Create workflows and reports in Salesforce and Vonage
  • Assist on phones and order entry as needed
  • Assist in input and presentations for sales meetings and ongoing training
  • Work with Senior Management to develop strategies and achieve sales goals
  • Oversee staff training schedules for new hires and retraining as needed
  • Execute One on Ones with goal sheets & annual evaluations
  • Spend time in all departments to understand the bigger picture of how the business operates

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree and / or 3-5+ years of hotel / venue / event experience in a customer facing role
  • 5+ years of event rental industry experience a plus
  • Prior management experience a plus
  • Strong commitment to high levels of customer service
  • Familiarity with Operations-high volume companies and how Sales strategies tie into that
  • Knowledge of the event planning process and understanding of the mechanics of executing successful events
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced & constantly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and have a Make it Happen attitude
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and exude confidence with clients
