Job Details
- Specialty : Registered Nurse
- Unit Info : Patient Diagnoses include multi-trauma, seizure, GSW, falls, TBI, stroke, sepsis, psych, epidural hematomas, hemorrhage, cerebral edema, Ortho related trauma - not elective, encephalopathy
- Major Trauma unit
- Special Procedures / Unit Details include Craniotomy, Spinal Fusions, ORIF, muscle flaps, skin graftsevere AKA, BKA, IM nails, external fixators, spinal stimulators
- Neuro Surgery experience is also required
- Special Equipment used : Traction, external fixators, trapeze, PCA pumps, JP drains, wound vacs, Chest tubes, ortho braces, hemo vacs, central lines, trach, PEG, NG tubes
Job Requirements
- Blood product administration
- PICC line management
- Starting IVs
- Pre / Post Neuro surgery
- TBIs
- Ortho trauma
- Surgical drains
- Chest tubes
- Isolation precautions
Schedule Information
- Every other holiday required
- Float requirement : Can be pulled to all other inpatient units
- Unable to guarantee any specific scheduling requests such as block scheduling - schedule as needed per unit
