Job Overview

The Sign Language Interpreter facilitates the provision of care for deaf and / or hard of hearing patients and families through the coordination and provision of sign language services.

The interpreter will provide neutral, accurate interpretations in American Sign Language (ASL) in a medical setting with considerable knowledge of medical terminology and adheres to sound principles and ethics of patient representation and medical interpretations.

Manages / refers patient concerns to appropriate individuals and works with them as necessary. Tracks and reports activities to management.
