Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker for a full-time position in Detroit, MI, starting immediately.
This role involves providing social work services to students in a general education caseload setting.
Responsibilities :
- Provide direct social work services to students, including counseling, crisis intervention, and social-emotional support.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and community agencies to support students' academic and social success.
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to address students' needs.
- Advocate for students' rights and provide resources and referrals as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
Qualifications :
- Valid 310 Letter (Temporary or Full approval) issued by the Michigan Department of Education.
- Valid Social Worker License in Michigan (LSW, LMSW, LCSW, LLMSW - Supervision provided by district).
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse school community.
Work Schedule :
- Full-time, 35 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday, 8 : 20am to 3 : 40pm.
