Job Description
- Work in a medical surgical unit with a patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics.
- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5-6.
- Utilize unit systems such as Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR.
- Comply with a full compliance requirement to ensure an on-time start.
- Potential to float to other departments; if floated to ER or ICU, will manage medical surgical acuity patients or work in a CNA / tech role.
- Schedule requirements include up to 7 days of requested time off (RTO), although blocked scheduling is not guaranteed and no holiday RTO will be granted.
- Must work certain major holidays depending on the assignment period.
- Orientation includes 13 non-billable hours.
- Availability to submit core items and complete / schedule labs within 48 hours of signing the contract is crucial for an on-time start.
- Candidates should have references from at least two supervisors, preferably managers or above.
