Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Full-time Night shift (10am-11pm) & Mid-Shift (2p-3a)

Overview

We invite you to become an integral part of our esteemed hospital team as an experienced Registered Nurse in Stamford, CT.

You will play a vital role in delivering exemplary patient care in compliance with State and Federal guidelines, while fostering a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Utilize the Nursing Process to provide comprehensive patient care.

Supervise non-RN staff and serve as a valuable resource for ancillary personnel.

Assume duties as a charge nurse or clinical coordinator as needed.

Act as a preceptor for new staff members and students when required.

Demonstrate unwavering adherence to Hospital policies, including the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program.

Provide safe and therapeutic care aligned with our hospital's core values.

Deliver direct patient care to a designated patient group and serve as their advocate.

Continuously evaluate the physical and psychosocial condition of patients throughout their care journey.

Formulate and communicate individualized patient care plans that address patient concerns and propose interventions to achieve desired patient outcomes.

Foster collaboration with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to execute the care plan effectively.

Work Schedule

Work three shifts per week. Rotating shifts : 10 am-11 pm and 2 pm-3 am. Rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications :

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Hold a valid Registered Nurse license for the state of Connecticut.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly desirable.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a prerequisite.

One year of experience is required.
