Summary :
Respiratory District Float Pool - EVERGREEN-Provides care for patients on assigned units in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Responsibilities :
Demonstrates flexibility and competency to provide patient care throughout the South Broward Hospital District to a variety of patient populations.
Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per plan of care. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance support groups and other resources.
Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community.

Complexity of Work : This role requires critical thinking skills, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to build and foster positive relationships.
The incumbent must be able to lead others and take appropriate action when required. Required to work throughout the South Broward Hospital District in various nursing units treating a diverse range of patients under changing circumstances and challenges in different settings.
Required Work Experience : Two (2) years of experience in acute care setting required.
