Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Radiology Technician Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 10 / 2025 Duration : 12 weeks 24 hours per week Shift : 12 hours Employment Type : Local Contract X-Ray Tech Location : Mullica Hill, NJ Shift / Schedule : Weekends Only – Every Saturday and Sunday, 7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM Contract Length : 13 weeks Scrub Color : Black Holidays : None required Requested Time Off (RTO) : No more than 3 days total Job Summary The X-Ray Technician performs diagnostic radiographic examinations as prescribed by a licensed physician or chiropractor, utilizing radiation-producing equipment within established departmental guidelines. This role serves a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, in an acute care setting. The position requires a high level of precision, patient safety, and adherence to radiation safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Position patients correctly and operate equipment according to physician orders and departmental standards. Maintain patient safety by following ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles for radiation exposure. Document procedures, maintain equipment, and comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, FDA). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care in an acute hospital environment. Qualifications and Requirements Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting as an X-Ray / Radiologic Technician. Local candidates preferred to ensure reliable attendance and minimal travel disruptions. Licensure and Certifications Valid New Jersey Radiologic Technologist License. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, anatomy, and pathology. Proficiency in digital imaging systems and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System). Excellent patient communication skills, with sensitivity to diverse age groups and conditions. Ability to work independently during weekend shifts in a fast-paced environment. First Day Instructions? / Orientation : Failure to complete the full orientation will result in immediate termination- once scheduled, candidate does not have the option of rescheduling any classes. Candidate will receive an email directly from Inspira the Friday before the Monday start. The email will contain the following information; They will receive instructions for signing on to the Virtual Welcome meeting and online HealthStream Module from Human Resources sometime prior to 8 : 30 on Monday. Monday GEO will be Virtual from their own computer. The modules assigned must be completed by Monday or they will be removed from the orientation list.
