Application Architect
Responsibilities : Analyze the impact of the Florida PALM implementation on existing department interfaces. Develop and execute a plan to migrate current interfaces to leverage modern technologies like Informatica and Microsoft .
NET. Detail data element inputs and outputs for department computing assets interfacing with the Department of Financial Services FLAIR.
Design, develop, test, and deploy data integration solutions focusing on financial data accuracy and integrity. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand financial data requirements and develop financial data models for analysis.
Evaluate, select, and implement suitable data integration tools and technologies, prioritizing financial data security and efficiency.
Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data integration solutions.
Mentor FDOT staff on best practices for leveraging Informatica tools. Create detailed documentation for financial data integration processes, ensuring compliance and knowledge transfer.
Ensure compliance with financial data regulations and industry standards. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
Work with the reports remediation team to meet their data requirements. Participate actively in SCRUM meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Build and manage relationships in a matrixed environment. Resolve production release issues and address broader strategic or systemic challenges.
Research, compile, and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities. Plan, organize, and manage complex work assignments and project schedules.
Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (2 years of experience can substitute for the degree).
5-8 years of professional experience in Information Systems or a related field. 2-3 years of leadership experience in Enterprise Architecture.
Experience with flat file integrations, FTP, and SFTP. Knowledge of advanced systems integration topics (Web APIs, Data Streams).
Understanding of data encryption and its importance. Experience with ETL tools (Informatica strongly preferred, Microsoft SSIS, or Oracle ETL).
Strong SQL skills and familiarity with ETL processes. Experience with data cleansing and transformation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Knowledge of Agile Project Management methodologies and practices, particularly SCRUM.
Preferred Qualifications : Experience with Informatica PowerCenter, Microsoft Power BI, and Oracle Data Warehouse. Knowledge of mainframe programming languages, computer systems, and supporting software.
Familiarity with financial systems (ERP). Experience with WebFOCUS. 2-3 years of prior experience with the FDOT Office of Information Technology.
2-3 years of Windows Server administration experience. Knowledge of Informatica IICS Cloud Data Integration tools and Snowflake. Powered by JazzHR
