Bartender

Essential Functions :

• Welcome guests.
• Ensure that customers are of legal drinking age.
• Prepare a requested drink to their specifications.
• Mix traditional and creative cocktails.
• Stock bar including ice, glasses and inventory, in the absence of a bar back or busser.
• Assist guest with food service at bar counter or bar table area.
• Make recommendations based on customer tastes and preferences.
• Process payment from customers.
• Record and balance cash receipts.
• Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere.
• Position requires an in-depth knowledge of wine and cocktails.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities :

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Restaurant experience preferred
• Demonstrate ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
• Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness
• Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness
• Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol
• Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments
