Medical Director-AHG Primary Care
Summary :
Arkansas Health Group (AHG) employs approximately 700 physicians and advanced practice providers in the Baptist Health System across 12 hospitals and over 120 clinical practice groups.
The Physician Leadership Team consists of the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director of Primary Care, and Medical Director of Specialties.
The Primary Care Medical Director will have oversight of approximately 50 Baptist Health Primary Care Clinics across Arkansas.
The Primary Care Medical Director (PCMD) should be a physician with board certification in a primary care discipline and have more than 10 years of experience in clinical practice, along with significant experience in an organizational leadership or managerial role.
A master's degree in business or health administration, or public health is not required but would bring valuable management acumen to the role.
Other background experience in medical informatics, quality improvement and patient safety, population health, or value-based care would also be highly beneficial.
The PCMD is an integral member of the AHG management team, responsible for interfacing with participating provider practices, AHG Sr.
Leadership, and Health System / Hospital Leadership for mission-critical programs and projects in integrated health delivery, population health, and value-based payment models.
Minimum Requirements :
- Doctorate degree in Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine
- Board Certification in a Primary Care Discipline
- More than 10 years of primary care practice experience
This job will be authorized for 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
