RHEL DevOps Engineer III | Huntsville, AL | Clearance Required

This position is on-site in Huntsville, AL Secret Security Clearance Minimum Required (Can hold TS / SCI)

JOB SUMMARY :

The DevOps Engineer will be a Red Hat Enterprise Linux SME and will work independently evaluates, selects, adapts, and modifies standard techniques and criteria in order to plan and conduct engineering assignments.

Independently plans, schedules, and conducts or coordinates detailed phases of engineering work through the selection and adaptation or modification of techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Analyzes complex features of the work and applies principles and practices of the discipline or devises new approaches in problem solutions.

Thoroughly reviews all results from assigned tasks and determines if outputs are complete, correct, integrated with project objectives, and adequately documented.

• Responsible for planning and evolving processes and infrastructure to execute programs supporting rapid capability maturation and deployment.
• Integrates development pipelines leveraging automation with test-driven development tools and continuous integration / test frameworks.
• Define and implement build, deployment, provisioning, and monitoring standards.
• Implementation of Software Configuration Management (SCM), code quality, and code coverage; automated testing for Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) pipelines.
• Work as part of an Agile development team to deliver end-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management framework.
• Develop Automation with Ansible; Use Git to manage collection of playbooks.
• Create scripts and / or templates to automate infrastructure provisioning and management tasks.
• Manage task execution; Create, download, install and use content collections; Create, download, install and use execution environments;

Manage inventories, credentials, advanced inventories; Manage automation controller.

• Monitor and support all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Develop custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
• Contribute to the design of information and operational support systems.
• Oversee the company's security, backup, and redundancy strategies.

Qualifications :

• RHCE Red Hat Certified System Engineer or RHCSA - Red Hat Certified System Administrator
• Strong experience with Red Hat Linux Administration
• Experience in an Agile software development framework
• Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite (Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence)
• Security+, not needed to start, but must be able to obtain in 6 months
• Ansible (Advanced / SME)
• Automating tasks using Ansible and / or Terraform
• Build custom scripts to automate tasks using Ansible, Node.js or Java
• Pipeline development
• Cloud Background / experience AWS / Azure Supporting a shift to the cloud

Preferred Qualifications :

• Building applications using Jenkins or Jenkins like tools
• VMWare Certification or Experience (vRealize Automation (vRO), vRealize Orchestrator (vRA), vSphere)
• Manage containers using container orchestrator Docker, Kubernetes (K8s)
• Source code management using Git / Bitbucket
• Administration experience of Linux and Windows Operating Systems
• administering virtualized or containerized systems in VMWare and Docker
• Working practices, such as Git Branching and release schedules
• Experience of secure virtualization and containerization system design
• Designing, deploying, and troubleshooting networking, including subnetting, VLANs and VPNs
• Designing, deploying, and administering cloud-based solutions such as Amazon Web Service (AWS)
• Experience of secure network architecture design
