About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Technician Job Specialty : Pre / Post-Op Surgery - Operating Room (OR) Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day - 12x3 - 6 : 00 AM to 6 : 00 PM - 36 Hours Guaranteed Hours : 36 Hours per Week Experience : Minimum 2 Years (Recent experience within the past 6 months) License : Required to Submit Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have : - Experience with the recovery of critical care patients - Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam (Maximum 2 attempts) Job Description : Work in a unit that includes OR / CVOR / PACU- Handle various cases including Ortho, Neuro, Robotics, Laparoscopic, General Surgery, Bariatric, Cranis, DNCs, Tubals, Eyes (rare), with C-sections conducted in OB- Utilize EMR systems, specifically Cerner and Surginet- Be part of an active OR environment operating from 6 : 30 AM to 8 : 30 PM in a 24 / 7 Trauma hospital- Participate in the unit's requirement for call duties, including 2 call evenings from 10 : 30 PM to 6 : 30 AM per month and 1 weekend call- Work with a team that includes Charge Nurses and CSTs (certification not required)- Adhere to a 1 : 2 ratio in PACU and a 1 : 1 ratio for ICU Post-Op and Isolation- Engage in a dynamic setting with varied surgeries conducted, supporting up to 1300 OR cases and 51 CVOR cases per month- Be prepared to float, with most travelers not assigned to CVOR- Scrub color provided, with RT and Pharmacy services available 24 / 7- Adhere to a cancellation policy, with possible shift adjustments- Partake in a rotation for holidays with core staffPlease ensure all qualifications and certifications are valid and up to date prior to applying.
