Welder - 1st Shift

Do you want to be a part of an innovative, employee-first, environment? Our client in Forest Park is seeking a MIG Welder to work the 1st shift (6 : 00 am 2 : 30 pm, M-F).

What Matters Most :

• Temp to Perm position
• $18 an hour
• Shift Monday Friday 6 am-2 : 30 pm

Your New Role :

• MIG welding of 14 , 16 , and 18 galvanized sheet metal at a production-level pace
• Fabricate new metal components in compliance with all applicable standards
• Adjust welding machine settings as required to maintain a quality weld
• Change tips, weld liner, nozzle, wire, and torch
• Troubleshoot weld problems and take corrective action
• Comply with all company safety standards and protocols
• Keep the workstation clean and orderly

What You Need :

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read / interpret blueprints and schematics
• Understanding of devices such as micrometers, calipers, and straightedges
• Weld test before the start
• Background check and drug screen
