Senior Vice President, Member Training & Delivery
Responsibilities
Business management Establish strategic plan and annual Training, MCS, and paid webinar budgets and operating plans. Develop and implement specific goals, objectives, and initiatives to meet budgetary requirements and key performance indicators.
Track performance against plan and adjust as needed. Works with executive staff to develop and execute sales strategies through self-registered courses (i.
e., ), a dedicated relationship management team, and third-party partners (e.g., state banking associations).
Staff management Lead department of approximately 25 staff through mentorship, developmental projects, and professional development opportunities.
Provide guidance to instructional design, training production, training delivery, and evaluation activities. Actively manage career progression of staff and maintain appropriate succession planning.
Training content Manage the catalog of ABA Training courses. Partner with ABA colleagues and members (e.g., through the ABA Professional Development Council) to develop a roadmap for course development.
Work with instructional internal and external designers to deliver a distinctive, frictionless learner experience. Develop and maintain a dependable process for launching, updating, and retiring courses.
Identify, maintain, and leverage internal and external subject matter experts to ensure relevance and quality of content.
Technology Provide management to staff who select and maintain the training technology stack (e.g., LMS, integration with transactional and CRM systems, virtual school’s platform).
Ensure development and maintenance of technology roadmaps including plans for product selection / RFPs, upgrades, etc.
Service and support Ensure consistently high service and support from the Member and Customer Support Center (i.e., 1 BANKERS) and the dedicated client support team (i.
e., licensed training programs).
Required Experience :
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in related field preferred or commensurate experience.
15+ years’ experience leading Training & Professional Development initiatives.
Experience in commercial training that drives revenue required.
Familiarity with online course technical standards i.e. SCORM, AICC, xAPI, and accessibility standards such as WCAG.
Experience managing a multi-million-dollar for-profit training business.
Experience with hybrid, in person and remote training methodologies and technologies.
Experience scaling a training business and delivering growth.
Management of a large and diverse team and large-scale content initiatives.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to travel (20%).
Preferred experience
Experience working in, with, or for financial institutions strongly preferred.
