Responsibilities
Peraton has an exciting Senior Contracts Manager position for an individual who has a strong federal contract management background.
The core areas of responsibility for this position are enterprise focused and include the following key areas : contract / regulatory compliance, training and staff development, and multiple award schedule contract management.
Responsibilities :
Contracts / Regulatory Compliance : Conduct research and prepare briefs for management on existing and emerging U.S. government acquisition legislation and policies that could impact the company.
Apply experience with government contracting and the regulatory environment to help develop and / or modify internal policies, procedures, frameworks, and internal control systems / tools to maintain continuous compliance with such existing and emerging acquisition legislation and policies.
Department Training and Professional Development : Support the development of internal training content pertaining to existing and emerging U.
S. government acquisition policies based on leadership's direction and guidance. Identify potential gaps and risks when it comes to fulfilling compliance standards, and help develop recommendations, processes, and controls to improve organizational policies and procedures.
Assist in the development and delivery of internal training to address Peraton's Contract policies and procedures, and employee responsibilities.
Multiple Award Schedule Contract Management : Contribute to analysis and recommendations pertaining to acquisition policies surrounding IDIQ / GWAC or federal task order contracts sourced from various contract vehicles to include but not limited to GSA, Army, Navy and other key Peraton customers.
Be an active and integral team member and participant in deal reviews and IDIQ / GWAC contract-related oversight. Provide continuous assessment of contractual rights and obligations, and terms and conditions to ensure the corporation is protected from unusual risk and sustains or improves Peraton's long range plan.
Staff Management : Participate in managing and mentoring contracts managers and administrators in a matrix organization. Execute strategic and business optimization initiatives developed by and with the Corporate Contracts leadership team.
Develop and provide guidance as needed to other operational staff to increase compliance-related competencies throughout the organization.
Supporting strategic and business optimization initiatives and mentor less senior contract administrators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of federal contracts administration / management experience, or Master's degree with 8-10- years of experience.
- Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- At least 5 years of direct customer facing contract administration or contract management experience.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or lead contracts administrator experience in a federal / defense contractor capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise with the Federal Acquisition Regulations and supplements.
- Must possess a solid understanding of contract compliance, contract language, and operational areas where an organization may be more vulnerable to non-compliance.
- Must have a TS / SCI with poly security clearance.
Desired Qualifications
- Research oriented self-starter that has a willingness to train others on contractual matters or on new and emerging rules and regulations, through written media such as briefings, memorandums, training presentations, and / or directives.
- Demonstrated understanding of federal compliance rules, acquisition contract language, and operational areas where an organization may be more vulnerable to non-compliance.
- Experience leading, training, and / or mentoring less experienced employees.
- Experience managing a variety of contract types and / or vehicles such as GSA schedules, and / or other civilian or DoD agency issued multiple award contracts.
- Strong business acumen with ability to think critically and develop creative and practical solutions.
- Previous experience with SharePoint site administration and creation of custom lists or libraries is a plus.
- PMP, CFCM and / or DAWIA certifications are preferred.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
