We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team in Englewood, Colorado. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the financial close process, overseeing the annual financial audit, and providing leadership to the accounting team.
This role also involves assisting with accounts payable processes, managing business taxes, and analyzing monthly variances.
Responsibilities :
- Manage the monthly financial closing process, including the preparation, posting, and review of journal entries.
- Oversee and assist in managing the annual financial audit, ensuring timely submission of audit deliverables.
- Provide leadership, training, and development opportunities for the accounting team.
- Assist in the accounts payable process cycle, including transaction review and approval, while adhering to company policies.
- Prepare, manage, and file city / local business taxes and gross receipts-based business licenses.
- Analyze and report on monthly variances in revenue and expense during the month-end close process.
- Act as the point person for company and / or department projects.
- Address inquiries and concerns from State GMs in a timely manner.
- Adapt to a fast-paced working environment and be flexible with changing priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting manager role or similar position
- Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential
- Familiarity with BlackLine software is required
- Proficiency in Concur software is necessary
- Must have experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
- Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is needed
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory
- Must have a background in Auditing
- Familiarity with Billing Functions is expected
- Proficiency in NetSuite software is necessary
