We are seeking a Regulatory Analyst to represent a local renewable energy provider in regulatory proceedings related to Distributed Energy Resources (DER), electricity rates, and infrastructure.

You will evaluate proposed regulatory policies, develop positions on issues, provide strategic regulatory advice, conduct technical analyses, write reports and presentation materials to help shape future energy regulations.

The Regulatory Analyst will :

Collaborate with internal teams on cross-functional priorities related to regulatory matters with a focus on DERs and electricity rate proceedings;

a secondary area of focus will be on wholesale energy market & infrastructure, and equity matters.

  • Conduct analysis to support our policy positions in key regulatory proceedings.
  • Working with stakeholder, evaluate proposed regulatory and funding policies at state and federal agencies.
  • Develop written reports and presentation materials to shape future regulations and represent the organization before various regulatory agency proceedings..
  • Assess impacts and develop our positions on issues.
  • Collaborate with peer organizations to develop policy proposals and consensus positions.
  • Draft and review comments and advise on regulatory matters; prepare discovery requests and responses; participate in administrative hearings and provide input into legislative policy at the state and local levels.
  • Other duties as needed.

Qualifications you will need :

  • A strong desire to make a positive impact and passion for renewable energy.
  • A bachelor's degree with at least 2 years or more of relevant work experience OR 5-7 years of equivalent work experience, including work or study of energy, environment or a closely related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • Working understanding of energy markets and energy products is desirable.
  • Advocacy and experience in representing an organization with the ability to influence others.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience managing projects.
