School Based Services Fred Finch School Based Services are a full-service therapy program designed to help youth in elementary through high school to learn to succeed in school, improve their grades, attendance and interpersonal relationships with their peers and families.

Fred Finch Youth & Family Services staff work closely with teachers, school staff, caregivers, parents, and participants to improve participants' functioning at school and home.

Each student is evaluated independently, and a customized action plan is developed for addressing each of the known barriers to success.

Youth enrolled at the schools below in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties who have full-scope Medi-Cal are eligible for services.

Join our team as : Mental Health Therapist What You Will Do The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for providing high quality, trauma-informed therapeutic services and care coordination to a diverse population of at-risk youth or young adults experiencing mental health symptoms, and their families.

These developmentally appropriate, individualized services occur in residential and community locations including homes, schools, program offices, psychiatric emergency settings, clinics, crisis residential programs, and / or shelters.

Shifts Available Full time; M-F 8 : 00-4 : 30, school hours / days; working in-person and on school sites, home and community as needed.

Salary Range In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $33.03 and $42.15 per hour.

The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

M.A.

Degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited college or university.

Registered associate (AMFT or ACSW, or APCC with relevant experience with target population) with the Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Some programs may consider candidates who are able to obtain registered status within first six (6) months after hire.

Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of diagnostic assessment, individual / family / group behavioral treatment methods for target population of program.

Demonstrated knowledge of risk assessment, including danger to self or others, and effective community-based interventions.

Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families and communities.

Clean driving record : current CA Driver's License or ability to obtain within 10 days after hired.

Must have access to dependable transportation; personal car insurance meeting minimum liability coverage required if position requires driving for work or transporting participants.

Basic computer and keyboarding competence with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and / or competency with electronic clinical documentation systems.

Preferred 1.

One (1) year graduate school or post graduate experience with program target population (Example : intellectually disabled, homeless, teens or young adults, seriously emotionally disturbed).

Applies a strength-based, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and flexible approach to supervision, participant and community service, in order to support participant recovery, health, and wellness.

Exhibits strong behavioral, crisis management and family / individual / group therapy skills.

Fluency in prevailing language(s) of the community.
