We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Credit Risk II to join our Public Finance & Not-for-Profit Credit Risk team.
This role can be located in New York, NY; Pittsburgh, PA; or Lake Mary, FL in a Hybrid work environment.
About the team :
At BNY, the Credit Risk group performs the review, challenge, oversight, and guidance of the firm's lending activities to our clients.
Within Credit Risk, the Not-for-Profit team supports the firm's risk management efforts surrounding our responsibilities for lending to organizations committed to the greater good.
This team is responsible for managing, monitoring, and executing the credit risk strategy to these clients across the globe with which we do business.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways :
- Analyzing, preparing and / or reviewing financial analyses for credit approval by Credit Risk (Second Line of Defense) in response to credit requests from First Line of Defense for a diverse array of public finance and not-for-profit borrowers / counterparties.
- Collaborating with internal business partners and First Line of Defense to evaluate the purpose of financing, sources of repayment, and quality of collateral.
- Evaluating and monitoring sectoral trends and creditworthiness of assigned borrowers, making recommendations on internal borrower risk ratings.
- Supporting the identification of existing and emerging risks applicable to the Public Finance / Not-for-Profit loan portfolio.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
- Minimum 4 years of total work experience required.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience reviewing and knowledge of official statements, audited financial statements, and industry standard documents.
