About The Position
- Job Title : RN - Med Surg 1 - Nights Job Specialty : RN - Inpatient Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Night, 7p-7a Guaranteed Hours : To be determined Experience : Less than 1 year preferred;
- completion of an accredited / approved nursing school with required clinical hours License : Registered Nurse (Single State) or Multi-state Compact Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS required Must-Have : Ability to read, write, and speak English;
basic computer skills; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; excellent time management and critical thinking skills Job Description : Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practice and analytical / critical thinking.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics.- Partner with patients and significant others using appropriate methods for setting and purpose, keeping the patient's goals as the focus.
- Adhere to current clinical practice standards.- Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration within an inclusive interdisciplinary environment.- Support performance improvement initiatives and participate in shared governance.
- Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and mandatory education.- Serve as a preceptor and mentor to ensure a qualified future workforce and model professional practice.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement.- Plan for patient care across the continuum, contributing to protocol and procedure development.
- Use resources efficiently and effectively to achieve best practice outcomes.- Comply with all organizational policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
