Job Description
As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for :
Key Responsibilities
- Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
- Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual statistics.
- Provide consistent appraisal of associate sales performance and give feedback on strengths and opportunities.
- Adhere to visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Dress Code Policy.
Control Expenses
- Protect company assets in line with LIDS Retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store schedules that ensure proper coverage while adhering to wage control guidelines.
- Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, price changes, and conducting product counts.
- Perform proper documentation and record-keeping per LIDS Retail policies and applicable laws.
- Open and close the store as required, following procedures per the Operations P&P Manual.
- Support and adhere to all LIDS policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in LIDS Training Programs and adhere to set goals for sales and tasks.
- Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on operations and procedures.
- Encourage compliance with established company policies, including safekeeping of inventory, funds, and property.
- Perform subordinate work as needed.
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to operate a computer and related software programs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb a ladder while working overhead.
- Standing required for up to 100% of the work time.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
Education
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Reports To
The Assistant Store Manager reports to the Store Manager.
