As a crucial member of the team, you’ll also support long term bets and drive competitive intelligence to keep Microsoft Cloud ahead of competition.
All while enhancing transparency into Cloud Infrastructure investments, safeguarding shareholder interest.
We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager supporting our cloud product margins and strategy, defining key areas for margin expansion in the netwroking space and driving optimal execution strategies.
Qualifications
Required / Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experienceOR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field and 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experienceOR equivalent experience.

- Demonstrated written and verbal communications
- Thorough and detailed oriented, while summarizing analysis to drive broader business context and insight
- Comfortable handling ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves at fast pace

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.

Responsibilities
Performs analysis and research of present and future product financial performance, operational plans (e.g., expected returns, resource allocation, pricing, investment opportunities) and major economic transactions (e.
g., customer deals, commercial partnerships, acquisitions, etc.).
Provides business insights and recommendations to peers and stakeholders to achieve revenue and profitability goals and drive shareholder return, including resource allocation, cost optimization, revenue generation, trends, and future requirements.
Manages and executes processed through engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with business leaders to define action plans for financial and business analysis findings.
Applies advanced understanding of Microsoft Finance and business (e.g., monetization strategy, market, key drivers, revenue channels, advanced technology, and business partner work context) to multiple situations to evaluate results and analysis.
Develops and manages strategies to proactively mitigate, or reactively address, potential adverse effects of macroeconomic and / or geopolitical risks.
Maintains working knowledge of Microsoft financial systems, policies, and processes to evaluate potential impacts of change, and drives improvements in efficienciy and accuracy
Integrates varied data sources and assimilates the information into a comprehensive, clear narrative. Communicates results in a compelling and understandable message.
Articulates understanding and awareness of business partner situation.
Specifically, the role is a great opportunity to :
Oversee thought leadership, finance decision support on Microsoft’s long term networking investments across its global regions
In partnership with engineering teams, co-own the product roadmap. Drive clear, consistent planning assumptions, financial performance expectations across cross-functional teams with clear, consistent assumptions around margin expectations, and engineering efficiencies (utilization, hardware density, etc)
Collaborate with engineering, busienss planning and finance counterparts to define product enhancements, support market share acceleration, networking utilization to steady state (compete parity) and improves gross-margin scale velocity
Deliver quarterly financial, operational review with Engineering leaders, clearly communicating results and recommendations to business leaders.
Own analysis of key metrics, visualization Insights and investment recommendation to key executives
