2025 Summer Internship Client Management Account Analyst, US

Internship positions are located at PIMCO’s Newport Beach, CA Headquarters, Austin, TX, and New York, NY.

You’re eligible to apply if you :

Are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree

Must be able to begin full time employment from a PIMCO office between January 2026 August 2026

Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2025 semester (August 2025 December 2025)

Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university

Are business proficient in English

The Client Management team at PIMCO is dedicated to fostering strong client relationships and ensuring the seamless operation of client accounts.

Our clients are segmented into various channels, some of which include institutional investors, financial advisors, and individual investors, each with unique needs and objectives.

Your primary responsibility in this role is to support PIMCO’s investment professionals to ensure delivery of the highest level of service to our clients.

Account Analysts for this role support PIMCO’S institutional clients pension funds, endowments & foundations, insurance companies and corporations.

Most members of the group participate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program through the CFA Institute.

Responsibilities for this role include :

Perform research on market trends, economic conditions, and investment products to support client recommendations and strategies

Assist in the preparation and delivery of performance reports, market updates, and other relevant materials for clients

Analyze client portfolios, providing insights and recommendations based on market conditions and client objectives

Collaborate with other teams within PIMCO, including portfolio managers, product strategists, and compliance, to ensure a cohesive approach to client management

Participate in projects aimed at improving client service, operational efficiency, or other aspects of the client management function

You’ll excel as an Account Analyst if you :

Have a strong interest in the financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance as demonstrated through relevant coursework, certifications, internship / work experience and / or professional organization & campus club participation

Possess solid foundation in finance and economics, and familiarity with basic investment concepts

Possess the ability to articulate ideas / strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing

Analytical and quantitative skills to assess investment performance and market conditions

Have outstanding relationship building skills and the ability to develop client relationships into strategic partnerships

Are a self-starter with the ability to work within the firm’s demanding and highly focused environment while also having an attention to detail

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently when needed.

Have excellent time management, multi-tasking, organization and communication skills

Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel

The PIMCO Internship Experience :

The PIMCO Internship Program runs between Monday, June 9 Friday, August 15, 2025, with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program

During Week 1, you’ll participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and relationships that will prepare you for success

Alongside your colleagues, participate in PIMCO's , developed to heighten the impact of our employees' worldwide volunteer efforts

Join us for a variety of cross-divisional education, networking & social events!

Your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leaders and team offer guidance and mentorship throughout the summer

You’ll receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process to keep you on the path to meeting your summer goals

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus.

Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors.

The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.

Hourly Rate : $ 43.26
