Responsibilities Work in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) within a hospital setting Night shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend Typical patient ratios are 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 Care for patients with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), liver failure, and renal failure Perform specialized procedures such as continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemia and manage externalized IV pumps for COVID patients Use advanced equipment including NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pumps, GE Cardiac Monitors, GE Ventilators, and boom lifts in each patient room EPIC is the electronic medical record system used, and prior experience is required Responsibilities include caring for critically ill adults with complex medical and organ system failures Night shift hours are 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM Must respond promptly to required Ohio fingerprinting process upon offer acceptance First-time travelers are welcome to apply Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers Scrub color and dress code will be detailed prior to start All time-off requests must be submitted during the application process Holiday coverage may be required per unit needs Requirements Active OH or compact RN license in hand Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical ICU experience Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA required Proficient in IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management EPIC EMR experience required Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or charge RN within the past two years Former employees eligible if separated for at least 6 months; current employees ineligible Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625636.
