JOB SUMMARY
The Care Team Coordinator - CMA functions as an important member of the organization’s healthcare team and is responsible for delegated tasks under the direct supervision of a provider.
The Care Team Coordinator -CMA rooms the patient, completes team documentation and performs in-between visit functions within the specific team care structure to provide excellent patient care to those we serve.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Minimum Required : Graduate of a medical assistant (MA) or license practical nurse (LPN) program.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required : None
Preferred / Optional : One year experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
Minimum Required : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire and one of the following :
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMA)
- Licensed Practical Nurse license awarded by the State of Wisconsin
National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
Preferred / Optional : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.

Minimum Required : Graduate of a Medical Assistant program OR
Documented successful completion of the following courses (or their recognized course equivalent) currently or within one year of hire :
Medical Terminology
Anatomy & Physiology or Body Structure & Function or Human Body in Health & Disease
Pharmacology
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required : One and a half years’ experience in a healthcare setting required if not a graduate of a MA or LPN program.
Preferred / Optional : One year experience as a Medical Assistant (MA).
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
Minimum Required : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
Preferred / Optional : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
Can be certified or non-certified MA for this CTC role.
