Description
The Arizona State University’s College of Health Solutions’ (CHS) Population Health seeks part-time Faculty Associates and Academic Associates to teach courses or provide instructional related support for the Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 semesters for both in-person and on-line courses.
Through coursework and research opportunities, our degree programs in Population Health provide students with a well-rounded understanding of all aspects of community health.
The programs seeking to fill positions include Public Health, International Public Health, Health Education and Health Promotion, Health Prevention, Healthy Lifestyles and Fitness Science, Population Health, and Environmental Heatlh.
These positions are part-time, non-benefits eligible, semester to semester contracts based on the dates of the sessions / courses assigned.
Subsequent semester assignments may be offered at the discretion of the college and university based on teaching performance, student course evaluations, and course availability and enrollment.
Responsibilities for the faculty associate positions include course instruction, webinars, student engagement, monitoring, and supporting student success.
Responsibilities for the academic associate positions include supporting the instructor with student engagement, grading, and outreach.

Qualifications
Faculty Associate Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in a related field
- Experience teaching or related professional experience in a related field
- Demonstrated ability to work, collaborate, and communicate effectively with diverse students, colleagues, and staff in a multicultural environment, etc
Desired Qualifications
- Experience teaching courses in public health and related fields
- Experience using online learning platforms for course instruction
- Experience managing course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level, including development of course content, lectures, assessments
- Some courses may require an associate with a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential, a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coaches (NBC-HWC), or American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Personal Trainers® (ACSM-CPT®)
Academic Associate Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
- Experience supporting course instruction such as grading, student engagement, and outreach
- Demonstrated ability to work, collaborate, and communicate effectively with diverse students, colleagues, and staff in a multicultural environment
Desired Qualifications
- Teaching assistant experience at the undergraduate or graduate levels
- Student mentoring experience
- Experience managing course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level, including development of course content, lectures, assessments
- Some courses may require an associate with a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential, a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coaches (NBC-HWC), or American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Personal Trainers® (ACSM-CPT®)
