Lead Staff Accountant
The Lead Staff Accountant will lead a team of staff accountants to execute key accounting functions related to sales, accounts receivable, month-end close, and general ledger activities. Serve as a subject matter expert in financial operations and provide world-class service to clinic managers. Ensure accuracy in reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. Play a critical role in cross-functional collaboration, team development, and driving process improvements aligned with business goals and GAAP compliance.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to :
- Team Leadership & Operational Oversight : Provide oversight to staff accountants responsible for daily sales and accounts receivable processes. Assign and monitor team responsibilities to ensure efficient and accurate completion of daily tasks. Mentor, coach, and develop team members, including training, performance management, and recruitment in collaboration with management.
- Financial Close & Reporting : Participate in month-end close activities including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement support. Reconcile sales, accounts receivable, and related general ledger accounts. Assist in preparing monthly balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Customer Service & Cross-Functional Support : Act as a liaison for Clinic Managers, providing timely and professional assistance with sales and payment processing issues. Communicate key updates, issues, and project statuses to internal stakeholders and leadership. Support cross-departmental initiatives and special projects.
- Audit, Compliance & Regulatory Support : Prepare documentation and provide support for internal and external audits. Contribute to the preparation of 1099s, state / local filings, and property tax returns.
- Process Optimization & KPI Monitoring : Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the accounting function. Work with leadership to develop and monitor KPIs that assess team performance and service delivery. Support system enhancements and the ongoing management of accounting tools and expense platforms.
- Other Duties : Perform additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities as needed or assigned by leadership to support departmental and organizational objectives

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field requiredMinimum of three years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and multi-unit operations requiredDemonstrated ability to lead or support team members, even in a non-managerial capacity requiredCPA certification or progress toward CPA preferredHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and accounting software requiredKnowledge of GAAP and core accounting practices requiredExperience using ERP systems and platforms preferredStrong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills requiredExcellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear guidance to both internal teams and external partners requiredPrior experience in a fast-paced, high-growth organization preferredBackground in sales and accounts receivable operations preferredBenefits Include :
