Security Professional - Unarmed Residential Patrol

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Residential Patrol in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned residential and commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with residents, tenants, and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $23.77 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeWed 07 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM

Thur 07 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM

Fri 07 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM

Sat 03 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Sun 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter, which may include residential buildings, commercial real estate, and other types of locations.
  • Observe for any suspicious activity or potential hazards and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Assist visitors, residents, and / or tenants with inquiries and directions as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site contacts to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs or reports of daily activities and incidents.
  • Adapt to varying working environments and conditions depending on the assigned location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
