About The Position
Excellent MI Pathology opportunity for Supplemental
coverage starting 9 / 30 / 24 or ASAP and ongoing.
Inpatient - Hospital-based Pathology Lab
Shift : Mon. - Fri. 8a-5p
Call : Weekly, alternate week; Fri.@5p - Fri. @ 8a
Approximate cases read per day : 35-50 between
2 Pathologists
Locum to be responsible for Grossing own specimens.
Also will be cutting own frozen sections on the Cryostat.
Group : 1 Physician (usually 2), 4 Histotechnologists,
0 Path Assistants, 0 Cytotechnologists
No teaching or supervision required.
Other Pathologists will be present during Locum's coverage.
Cryostat - Thermo Shandon, Microscope - Nikon
Method of Preparation : Cytospin
Required Anatomic Path Procedures : Surgical, GI, GU,
Neuro, Derma, Hemato, Interpretation of Bone Marrow
Aspirate / bx, Cytology, Autopsy
Required Clinical Path Procedures : Hematology, Microbiology,
Chemistry / Serology, Blood Bank
Expenses covered, weekly pay and Occurrence Form
Malpractice insurance provided.
