Job Title : Associate Attorney (Construction Litigation)

Salary : $140,000 - $180,000
A prestigious law firm specializing in construction litigation, license agreements, and real estate disputes is seeking a Construction Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic team.
This is a unique opportunity to work with leading attorneys in the field, including a well-known partner who has successfully represented top developers and earned a reputation for aggressive, strategic litigation in New York.
What youll be doing :
Litigation and Dispute Resolution : Handle complex construction litigation cases, including RPAPL 881 actions, disputes involving underpinning, tiebacks, and lot line window closures.
Advocate fiercely for clients to achieve successful outcomes.
- License Agreements and Contract Negotiation : Assist in drafting and negotiating license agreements, addressing construction-related issues such as permanent protections, Code compliance, and minimizing impact on neighboring properties.
- Client Advocacy : Represent a diverse client base, from major developers to individual homeowners, ensuring their rights are fully protected in litigation and transactional matters.
- Strategic Counsel : Collaborate with architects and engineers to understand project plans and construction protections, ensuring all project aspects are accounted for in both negotiations and litigation.
- Court Appearances : Represent clients in court, displaying sharp litigation skills, strategic thinking, and strong advocacy, particularly in front of New York County justices.
What they need :
- JD from an accredited law school & admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
- 2-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in construction law or real estate litigation.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Strong litigation and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle high-stakes, complex legal matters.
- A passion for construction law, demonstrated by experience in RPAPL 881 actions or similar matters.
