CSS is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a distinguished hotel located in Van Horn, Texas. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in hotel or hospitality management, possessing excellent project management skills.
This individual should excel in personnel management, have a deep understanding of OSHA standards, possess comprehensive facility and asset management skills, and demonstrate proficiency in procurement and inventory management.
Additionally, the candidate should have a proven ability to delegate tasks effectively, establish streamlined systems and procedures, and efficiently manage projects.

Responsibilities :
Personnel Management :
Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure a high level of service and efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

- Delegate tasks and responsibilities, ensuring each team member contributes to the overall success.
- Compliance with OSHA Standards :
Maintain a thorough understanding of OSHA standards and ensure hotel operations comply with all relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for staff and implement safety protocols.
- Monitor and report any potential safety hazards or violations.
- Facility Management :
Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the hotel premises.
- Coordinate with external service providers for repairs and maintenance.
- Develop and implement efficient facility management processes to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Asset Management :
Manage and maintain all hotel assets, ensuring proper functionality and lifespan.
- Conduct regular audits to assess the condition of assets and plan for replacements or upgrades.
- Implement cost-effective measures for asset maintenance and replacement.
- Reservations Experience :
Collaborate with the reservations team to optimize room bookings and enhance guest experiences.
- Implement effective reservation systems and strategies to maximize occupancy rates.
- Address and resolve issues related to reservations and guest satisfaction.
- Procurement and Inventory Management :
Oversee the procurement of supplies and equipment for the hotel.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Implement inventory management systems to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
- Conduct regular audits to track and manage inventory, ensuring adequate stock for operations.
- Delegating Tasks, Creating Systems, and Project Management :
Delegate responsibilities efficiently, ensuring a balanced workload among team members.
- Establish and refine systems and procedures to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.
- Demonstrate strong project management skills to oversee and successfully execute various initiatives.
- Continuously assess and improve existing processes to adapt to changing business needs.
- Provide training on new systems and procedures to ensure staff adherence and effectiveness.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager in the hotel industry.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and experience implementing safety protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in relevant software applications, including RezNexus, for reservations, facility management, procurement, and inventory control.
- Strong project management skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights.
- Willingness to be on call for emergencies and urgent operational matters.
