Reporting to the Basic Ingredients Production Manager within our Basics Manufacturing Team located in East Hanover, you will Supervise all operations in the Basics Manufacturing Department and you will be the principle link between all levels of management for their shift operation under area of responsibility.

The ideal candidate is proficient in basic mathematical skills (Metric and English) and must possess good written and oral communication skills.

Learn the Distributed Control System including the control strategies, safety interlocks, alarms and standard operating procedures.

Develop product specific knowledge to ensure that products being manufactured are being made to specification in the expected yield range.

Coordinate all aspects of a process. Oversee the dispensing, pre- or co- shipment sampling, labeling and delivery of product to the warehouse.

Assure that all the GMP's are being followed.

Perform all shop order transactions on a timely basis to ensure on time delivery of raw materials and accurate shop floor inventory.

Monitor shop floor inventory on a regular schedule and make sure necessary corrections are made.

Train, evaluate and motivate employees within the department. Provide appropriate criticism and positive feedback as necessary.

Recommend salary adjustments, other rewards, disciplinary action, etc. Participate in selection process for new employees.

• Schedule production and equipment for maximum efficiency while maintaining flexibility to satisfy customer requirements both internally and externally.
• Ensures that equipment is well maintained and operational to provide peak efficiency and overall safety.
• Provide direction to shift to maintain continuity by anticipating the work load. Recommend the use of overtime as necessary to achieve product delivery schedules and safety requirements.

You?

• College or technical school degree preferred.
• 5-7 years previous manufacturing environment, preferably within the flavor industry, including 2-4 years supervisory / managerial experience.
