The TeamLeader / Manager will manage the Custom Application Operations Teamwhich supports all inhouse custom applications (40) developed in.
NET technologies. This position will manage a team of 812 softwareengineers (tier 2) and support specialists (tier 1) responsible forthe support of GDOT applications.
Job position expectations : hybridavailability (remote and onsite) to receive equipment onsite; tosupport team members onsite when hiring new resources and providingequipment;
inperson meetings with vendors; and open house forprojects and ondemand requests to be onsite. Candidate must possessa strong technical background to assist staff in troubleshootingissues and making decisions based on knowledge and informationpresented by staff to fix existing issues with the applicationexperience with high volume support of applications and managestaff work log and assignments.
Responsibilities : Lead and manage ateam of IT consultants / staff by providing guidance support andtraining as needed. Monitor and analyze the performance of the ITteam ensuring that support requests are handled efficiently andeffectively.
Develop and implement best practices to ensure our ITenterprise applications are supportable and maintainable. Ensurethat customer SLAs are met on a daily monthly basis Evaluate andrecommend software solutions to improve the ability to supportGDOTs IT enterprise applications.
Work with other teams and officesto ensure that the IT support team is providing the necessarysupport to meet the needs of GDOT.
Coordinate and troubleshoottechnical issues and guide the IT team in resolving complextechnical problems. Interview candidates and hire qualifiedindividuals to fill open roles within the department Generatesdaily weekly and monthly reports requested by both internal andexternal clients and GDOT IT Management Develops and mentor staffto a high level of competency Handles issues of a highly technicalnature and challenging calls from clients Participates in definingkey performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the efficiency andeffectiveness of the function and process.
Continually monitor KPIperformance and identify improvement opportunities ensuring groupsresolve tickets. Monitors staff performance and schedule adherenceto improve efficiencies identify training opportunities and ensureproper coverage.
Remains current on internal procedures andexternal client requirements Minimum Qualifications Bachelorsdegree in Computer Science and Information Technology or a relatedfield Technical certifications preferred.
