About The Position
Job Title : Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) / Operating Room Technician (ORT) Job Specialty : Operating Room Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 19 : 00-04 : 30 Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Required Certifications : Required Must-Have : Travel experience Job Description : - Responsible for assisting during surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses.
- Must be prepared to be on call one weekend every 3rd or 4th week, for a 48-hour period.- Expected to cover call duties three weekdays.
- Participation in setting up surgical instruments, maintaining sterile environments, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Ensure proper handling of specimens during operations for laboratory analysis.- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures to maintain safety and quality standards.
- Proactively collaborates with the surgical team to anticipate needs and provide excellent patient care.- Requires the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
This position does not provide orientation hours.
