We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the food service industry, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining efficient operational standards.
This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, inventory, and customer satisfaction in a casual dining environment.
Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, inventory control, and food safety compliance.
- Oversee the training and development of staff to ensure high levels of performance and customer service.
- Implement effective strategies for increasing sales and improving guest satisfaction.
- Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system, including Aloha POS, to ensure accurate transactions and reporting.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards in line with company policies.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to manage stock levels and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to enhance guest experiences.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the restaurant.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management or a similar role within the casual dining sector.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is preferred.
- Experience in inventory control processes is essential.
- Ability to train and mentor staff effectively in both operational tasks and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Previous experience in cooking or bartending is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
