Our client is seeking to hire an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team! They are an environmental engineering firm specializing in planning, designing, and constructing water and wastewater facilities.
The ideal candidate must currently live in or near Oakland, CA.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of experience in water and wastewater facilities
- Licensed Professional Engineer or EIT
- Expert in the design of low and medium-voltage power distribution systems, industrial controls, lighting calculations and systems, point-to-point conduit and wire systems, receptacle designs, calculations, phase balancing, conduit, cable tray, wire way, and duct bank point-to-point routing
- Proficient in the design of telephone / communications systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes
- Extensive knowledge of symmetrical components, fault current calculations, machine theory, hazardous / classified area design, fire detection, and protection system design
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs, control strategies, and how to develop control schematics
- Proficient in SKM or ETAP
