Rookie Trader :
American International Forest Products is seeking motivated individuals with the drive to succeed! In our 12-month paid trader training program, you will learn the ins and outs of commodity trading and be on your way to becoming a full commission trader! With the guidance from our seasoned traders, you will have all the tools needed to perfect your skills and build your business, so no prior sales experience is needed.
Length of the program is determined based on each individual. The goal is to make sure each individual has all the necessary tools and understanding of the industry and trade before they begin.
Tasks / Duties :
- Hands on experience shadowing each of our administrative departments, learning and understanding the back end of the trade process to maximize your trade results.
- Work directly with our seasoned traders and our president to gain the skills and knowledge of the trade, through multiple projects and development exercises
- Create and maintain shipping reports, addressing claims and provide coverage for traders who are out of office.
- Learn how to interpret trade floor offerings and how to coordinate inventory
- Participate in prospect calling and surveys alongside our most expert traders
- Attend sales and mentorship programs to build your trade
- Create a business plan that will act as your guide as you define your success
Skills / Knowledge :
- Comfortable with Microsoft office (word, excel, outlook etc.) and google docs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed
- Works well in a team-oriented environment
- Basic mathematical skills
- Sales experience is preferred, but not required
