Job Description
- Supports clinical testing of pharmaceutical products
- Gathers data and documents test results.
- Reviews test results to ensure compliance with standards; reports any quality anomalies.
- Complies with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements.
- Participates in required training activities.
- Maintains laboratory supplies.
- Completes test records and reviews data.
- Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments / devices prior to use.
- Interacts with outside customers or functional peer groups.
- May assist in qualification and validation of methods
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Leadership responsibilities :
- Coordinate scheduling, allocation of responsibilities, training and new hire on-boarding process
- Monitors the day to day operations of QC analyst staff
- May support peer group lead operations
- Participates in training of other employees.
- Facilitate staff access to systems, controlled areas, etc. using approved procedures
- Participates in productivity tracking and prepares monthly metrics and quality reports.
- Assists in coordinating equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Participates in new hire interviews
- Participates in the overtime and weekend schedule as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science related degree concentration, or equivalent directly related experience
- Previous leadership experience is required and experience working in a GMP-regulated environment
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Experience in HPLC, LCMS, and / or UV-Vis Spectroscopy strongly preferred
- Level will be determined based on relevant education and / or experience
Additional Information
This position is full-time on a Sun-Wed 1pm-11 : 30pm shift. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply! Base Compensation ranges from $25-35 / hour dependent on relevant experience and education.
2nd shift has a 10% shift differential.
