Overview Of Role
The Defense Health Network (DHN) - National Capital Region (NCR) is seeking a talented and experienced Social Media Manager to oversee and coordinate all HQ-level social media efforts across multiple Military Treatment Facility (MTF) social media sites. This role requires a creative and strategic professional with expertise in managing social media platforms, creating compelling content, and driving engagement. The candidate will be equipped with a social media management platform provided by the contract and will collaborate closely with MTF teams to ensure cohesive and impactful communication across the region.
Roles And Responsibilities
Produce high-quality social media content and manage and oversee all HQ-level social media accounts, ensuring alignment with DHN-NCR branding and messaging.
- Coordinate with individual MTF social media teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of posts across platforms.
- Develop and execute social media strategies to increase engagement, expand reach, and promote DHN-NCR initiatives.
- Create high-quality graphics, videos, and multimedia content tailored for various social media platforms.
- Write engaging and clear copy for posts, ensuring adherence to organizational tone and style guidelines.
- Use a contract provided social media management platform to schedule, monitor, and analyze posts across all accounts.
- Track social media performance metrics and generate reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor trends, audience behavior, and platform updates to optimize content and engagement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with DoD policies and guidelines for social media use within military and healthcare contexts.
- Provide guidance and training to MTF social media teams as needed to enhance their effectiveness.
Educational And Certification Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in social media management, preferably in a public sector, military, or healthcare environment.Proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).Strong skills in graphic design and multimedia creation, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or equivalent tools.Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging, error-free content tailored to diverse audiences.Experience analyzing social media metrics and using data to inform strategy.Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Familiarity with DoD social media policies and military healthcare systems is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
