HealthRIGHT 360, a family of programs, is located across 13 different counties in California. HealthRIGHT 360 provides an array of medical and behavioral health services to some of the most marginalized populations, ranging from primary care, mental health services, detox, substance use disorder treatment in both residential and outpatient settings, and transitional services for the criminal justice population. Our LA, OC, Ventura, and San Diego County programs provide a gender-responsive and trauma-informed environment, using evidence-based and best practices that recognize and account for the role that trauma frequently plays in the lives of the clients we serve. Our treatment and recovery services include withdrawal management, individual and group counseling, drug testing (if mandated), drug & alcohol education, recovery planning, case management, and relapse prevention.
The primary role of the SoCal Director Of Nursing is to integrate, plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of Nursing Services, Health and Wellness Coordinator services, and Medical Assistant (MA) Services in all integrated programs located in Southern California, including Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange and Ventura counties. This will be done in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern HR360 to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained and standardized at all times. The SoCal Director Of Nursing will play a key leadership role in furthering team-based care, integration and coordination of care across disciplines and service areas, staff training and professional development, and quality improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning
- Leads strategic planning for medical support services.
- Uses innovative approaches to build and engage and create a nurse workforce that is prepared to meet ongoing needs of growing homeless and marginalized populations that are served by HealthRIGHT 360 clinics.
Quality Assurance
Leads and equips medical support teams to navigate changing healthcare delivery models by creating infrastructure to meet quality and safety outcomes.Oversee, coach, and encourage ongoing quality assurance and quality improvement program for Nurse and MA services.Ensures the quality of care of all RNs, LVNs, EMT's, med techs, psych techs and medical assistant and the overall services our nursing and MA teams provide. This includes oversight of Nurse and MA policies and procedures, onboarding procedures, ongoing training needs, credentialing and privileging, competency assessment and review, in-service teaching and training, and peer review to ensure a well-educated department.Review and disposition the complaints and grievances made or filed by patients or staff regarding the Nurse or MA services.Staff Management
Encourages integration across various service lines through standardization of Nurse and MA services throughout all assigned SoCal program locations. This includes understanding current Nurse and MA teams and brainstorming future state of cross coverage for max efficiency of Nurse and MA teams throughout our programs.Hires and onboards new RN Managers and oversees the standardized process of onboarding and training nurse and MA teams. Conversely, demonstrates ability to performance manage and engage in constructive conversation as needed or required.Act as liaison between Nurse and MA Services and the community at large.Oversees the development and implementation of evidence-based staffing ratios that utilize every staff member to the highest degree of licensure and scope of practice.Ensures competency of all RNs, LVNs, EMT's, med techs, psych techs and medical assistant staff members. Ensures all Nurse and MA staff members are practicing within scope of practice in accordance with the State of California.Encourages Nurse and MA roles in leadership of Integrated Health Care.Ability to work clinically as a Nurse as needed and as desired. Maintains EHR core competencies.Oversight of medication rooms and med pass at each SoCal residential program, including appropriate training of staff, medication audits and implementation of proactive quality improvement measures to ensure compliance and adherence to agency and regulatory requirements. Includes need to travel to programs to review and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.Extensive travel to all assigned programs throughout LA, OC, Ventura, and San Diego counties as needed and required to standardize and operationalize care for clients, ensure Nurse and MA teams and services are meeting best practices, supply adequate coverage, and meet all other standards required of the agency and state and federal regulations.Collaboration
Collaborates with physicians and administrators across departments and levels throughout the organization to coordinate patient care and ensure a collaborative environment.Ensures that all guidelines, regulations, and standards are followed in concert with various departments throughout the agency.Leadership And Management

Education, Credentials, and Experience :
Registered Nurse, currently licensed in the State of California with a minimum of a Bachelor of Science (BSN) degree from an accredited college or university. Additional Bachelors or advanced education may be considered in lieu of BSN on case by case basis.Minimum five (5) years' experience as a supervisor, manager, or director in a community health center, hospital, long-term care facility, behavioral health congregate program, or other related health care facility. This includes experience managing direct reports.Minimum three (3) years' experience as a practicing RN, preferred in ambulatory care, hospital, public or community health experience.
Certification in Basic Life Support (CPR).Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to skilled nursing care.Upon hire, must go through credentialing in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego and Ventura counties.Desired :
Experience working with homeless, dual diagnosed, and criminal justice populations.Experience and strong foundation in Quality Improvement.Additional Must be able to meet travel requirements related to job commute as necessary for onsite practice at various SoCal assigned locations.
