About the Role
The Senior Product Manager I will own a product or one or more product features within a complex product. You'll be responsible for developing a commercially successful product strategy and lead project execution with minimal guidance that is based on qualitative and quantitative customer understanding.
You'll develop exceptional technology relationships looking for ways to address customer needs and will be seen as a critical stakeholder for feedback on new feature ideas.
You'll informally coach more junior PMs and interview and recruit new PM candidates.
Responsibilities
Gathering, evaluating, and deeply understanding customer use cases, while maintaining close contact with customers to anticipate market trends and create processes that adeptly recognize and meet needs.
Aligning and coaching the team to ensure satisfaction, understanding competitors, regulatory environments, and segmenting markets to address sub-segment needs in greater detail.
Leveraging metrics to track progress on customer needs and drive product efforts towards those metrics, while adeptly managing data ambiguity and considering diverse options to balance complex priorities.
Identifying key data, setting KPIs and priorities, and developing hypothesis-driven evaluation strategies, including AB testing, to assess expected efficacy, even in situations with limited rigorous data sets.
Developing comprehensive go-to-market launch plans by collaborating with external customer-facing teams like marketing and sales, drafting PR, marketing, and sales collateral, and contributing to pricing strategy.
Accountable for portions of launch and strategy execution, while driving processes and external communication for product sunsetting, including customer migration plans, and supporting business strategic planning and sales initiatives.
Utilizing a deep understanding of the broader product experience to develop comprehensive prototypes and drive key end-to-end lifecycle components, from planning to release.
Additionally, demonstrating proficiency in the company's SDLC processes, contributing to solutions for complex design challenges, and effectively managing product tasks independently, involving higher-level leadership only when necessary.
Developing a product vision and roadmap aligned with business strategy, effectively communicating with critical stakeholders, and emphasizing the importance of demonstrating ROI, supported by an operating budget.
Additionally, leveraging competitor insights to inform product decisions, writing compelling business cases for investment, and utilizing data to drive commercial decisions and identify growth opportunities.
Understanding the company's technology stack at a high level to support broader product development, while utilizing or extending the platform and underlying technologies to innovate new product features.
Effectively communicating with tech / data counterparts about development approaches and staying abreast of new technologies to enhance product development efforts, while also proficiently analyzing data.
Demonstrating good personal capability by taking ownership of development, regularly seeking feedback, and continually learning from both successes and failures.
You'll exhibit problem-solving skills by effectively identifying, analyzing, and proposing solutions to issues, while also managing day-to-day problems.
Additionally, excel in interpersonal skills, communicating effectively, fostering collaboration and teamwork, building relationships, inspiring high performance, developing others, and driving results through clear expectations and follow-through.
Requirements
Have a minimum 6-8 years of product management experience
Have been recognized as full owner of a product or sizable feature of a complex product.
Experience in releasing a new product or product features to the market, from collaborative conceptualization to execution to post-release management.
Experience being part of frequent product customer engagements that lead to positive commercial outcomes
Possess a Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical subject (Computer Science or Engineering discipline) is ideal, but not essential.
