Events Manager Responsibilities

  • Model and demonstrate leadership that creates the appropriate culture and character of the establishment through his / her own personal and professional conduct.
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome, expectations are exceeded and have a consistently positive experience.
  • Development, planning, and selling of private event spaces.
  • Lead and manage sales and events.
  • Create bookings through Triple Seat with appropriate financial information.
  • Respond to all inquiries within 24 hrs, or ensure proper coverage is in place for another individual to respond.
  • Responsible for effective contract management.
  • Help execute events, afternoon teas, or full buyouts.
  • Keep all orders up to date in the necessary locations
  • Communicate with the chef in a timely manner for any special menu requests.
  • Maintain contact throughout the entire event to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Update the management team, FOH, and BOH on any updated event orders.
  • Create and complete custom menus or signage for events.
  • Prompt follow-up at least 48 hours after the event occurred.
  • Must be able to have stamina to work 45+ hours a week in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift or move 50lbs.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 3 years of event management with 1 year of food and beverage-related work experience.
  • Availability to work nights / days, holidays, and weekends as needed.
  • Strong sales and negotiating abilities.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Professional Appearance.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Point of Sale knowledge preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree event planning preferred.
