The Inventory Analyst will oversee all inventory control functions for the facility by using the CMS cycle counting module to count WIP, finished good and components based on ABC analysis.

Essential Functions

  • The inventory analyst will monitor negative and critically low inventory daily.
  • They will investigate inventory discrepancies, determine the root cause and implement corrective actions. Following up to ensure corrective actions have been put into place.
  • The inventory analyst will report daily on inventory discrepancies.
  • They will work with production and purchasing to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • They will report, graph, and speak to inventory accuracy.
  • The inventory analyst will lead the quarterly physical inventories, organize the process and coordinate the people conducting the counts.
  • They will provide direction to other employees to ensure accurate production reporting.
  • The inventory analyst will ensure that raw materials and product are dispersed and consumed based on FIFO.
  • They will be responsible for backing up Material Planner and performing their duties when required.
  • The inventory analyst will contribute to the plant wide initiatives in continuous improvement, productivity, quality, customer service, cost reduction, safety and housekeeping.
  • They will be responsible for maintaining inventory absolute value of 95%

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience in the field of inventory control and accuracy of stock.
  • Knowledge with corrective action tools to understand and fix issues specific to stock, or processes affecting the stock.
  • Excellent communication, organization, time management, problem solving, decision making, and teamwork skills
  • Must have a good knowledge of the English language
  • Must have Lean Training and / or Experience in HFDS implementation and roll out
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and inventory management system (CMS)
  • Must be able to prioritize, work with limited supervision, give instruction, and be willing to be hands-on with projects
  • Must be able to multi-task, analyze data, pay close attention to detail, and be self-motivated
  • Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
