We are seeking a Senior ITS Traffic Project Manager to join our team in Edison , NJ, New York City, NY, or Philadelphia, PA to lead and work on various NJDOT ITS and Traffic Engineering projects.

About you :

In this Senior PM role, you will apply technical expertise and project management experience to manage ITS and Traffic projects on a variety of transportation projects.

This includes typical project functions of production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, marketing assistance, and financial management.

You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior staff in their training and development.

How your experience will contribute to the team :

• Familiarity with NJ DOT ITS Traffic Projects.
• Expertise in the Design and Testing of a Completed and Operational ITS System, Including DMS, CSS, CTSS, and Traffic Detectors.
• Experience with Testing and Acceptance Specifications necessary for a completely verified ITS implementation.
• Design & Modification of Traffic Management Centers.
• Experience with ITS Architectures & Systems Engineering Process.
• Data and Video Communications Networks and Systems Integration, Including Fiber and Wireless Systems.
• Experience with Design, Deployment & Operation of ITS Technologies.
• Management experience with at least one transportation project with major ITS work or served as Deputy Project Manager for two transportation projects with major ITS work from concept development (CD) through PS&E phase.
• Experience with the management of transportation projects from Preliminary Design / Engineering phase through the completion of Construction within the last 15 years, including maintaining Project's Budget, Schedule, Scope, and Quality Management.
• Experience in project(s) should have included : Highway Design including Traffic Signal / Safety / ITS Engineering and Utility Relocation; Electrical Design.
• Deputy Project Management experience is also applicable for (2) projects.

Role Requirements :

• BS and / or MS in Engineering.
• New Jersey PE License.
• 8-10 years of engineering experience.
• Must have highway / roadway design and project management experience.
• NJDOT ITS experience.
• Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project financial management and team management skills.

Expected compensation range is between $100,000 - $146,000 annually / hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
