Enterprise Digital & Data Solutions (EDDS) Organization within the Enterprise Services Group is a dynamic environment of digital product and analytics professionals that drive significant value for American Express through innovative solutions.

Enterprise Acquisition Products & Platforms (EAPP) is part of the larger EDDS organization with the core purpose to drive continuous, efficient revenue growth through seamless acquisition & new accounts onboarding experiences.

Our Team : Data Management & Oversight

Data Management & Oversight team is responsible for managing and governing digital acquisition data from application capture to fulfillment in Cornerstone.

The team supports various initiatives to empower our business unit with accurate, reliable, and accessible data to drive business success, while ensuring compliance with data regulations, promoting data understanding, and minimizing operational risk.

How will you make an impact in this role?

As part of the Data Management & Oversight team, this role is responsible for bringing and managing data under governance for acquisition data.

This team is leading the effort of defining the future roadmap for data governance and ensuring that trusted information is used for critical processes, decision making, verification and validation in various acquisition processes.

As a Data Governance Senior Manager, you will support the development and implementation of solutions in accordance with the Enterprise Data Governance policy and framework.

You will partner closely with Acquisition Technology Transformation, Enterprise Data Governance, Product, Risk, and other teams to drive data governance and data quality.

The Data Governance Senior Manager is a collaborator, a well-organized, action-oriented individual with exceptional leadership and time management skills, confident in presenting, facilitating, and building a network of strong relationships across our organization.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Bring acquisition data in compliance with the Enterprise Data Governance Policy ensuring the appropriate accountability model and processes for data asset management, metadata management, data quality, and issue resolution.
  • Participate in all aspects of Data Governance including data activation steps, compliance with data standards and privacy regulations.
  • Support strategic improvements to data assessment process and making necessary enhancements to data analytical and data quality tools.
  • Lead root-cause-analysis of data quality issues and support in remediation of audit and regulatory feedback.
  • Support development, validation, and maintenance of business glossary, data integration, data lineage, and data management activities.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master’s / bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of work experience in Customer acquisition / Banking / Financial Services or similar industries.
  • Technical and data analysis skills with prior experience in SQL / Python.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Agile methodology and delivery concepts or other project management methodologies including SDLC.
  • Strong relationship skills and communication is essential as the role requires partnering with multiple stakeholders e.

g., Business process owners, Technologies, and Enterprise Data Governance.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, ability to manage multiple assignments and projects concurrently within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple initiatives, and effectively manage in a matrix organization.

Salary Range : $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
